Adult Truths

Adult Truths (sorry adults)

1. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your
computer history if you die.
2. Nothing stinks more than that moment during an argument when you realize
you're wrong.
3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was
younger.
4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.
5. How are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?
6. Was learning cursive really necessary?
7. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on # 5. I'm pretty sure
I know how to get out of my neighborhood.
8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the
person died.
9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.
10. Bad decisions make good stories.
11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work
when you know that you just aren't going to do anything
productive for the rest of the day.
12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I
don't want to have to restart my collection...again.
13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks
me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page technical report that
I swear I did not make any changes to.
14. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not
to answer when they call.
15. I think the freezer deserves a light as well.
16. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or
Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lite than Kay.
17. I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.
18. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.
19. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just
nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they
said?
20. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars team
up to prevent a jerk from cutting in at the front. Stay strong,
brothers and sisters!
21. Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get
dirty, and you can wear them forever.
22. Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still
not know what time it is.
23. Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car
keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on
the Donkey, but I'd bet everyone can find and push the snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time, every time.

Black Friday

Black Friday

12:00 (am-let me remind you) standing in a mile (almost) long line to get to old navy. Freezing our behinds off. Almost literally.

1:00 (still am) standing in another line-thank goodness it’s in the store this time…

2:00 (you guessed it-am) am home after an hour of getting lost-through streets parallel to each other…how sad, I know

3-5:00 (am-really) thankfully, sleeping

6-8:00 (am) shopping at the mall, half delirious from lack of sleep

9-11:00 (am still-thankfully) getting my beauty sleep

12:00 (pm-finally) do you know how hungry you are after shop-til-you-drop shopping? And after a deep night’s sleep, really, you can’t blame me for

1:00 (pm-after a long day) guess. Guess what we do next? Guess. Shop. As if we need more of it.

2-5:00 (pm-no way!) sttttiiilll sssshhhhhhhoopppinngggg…………and dropping

6:00 (pm) eating food from the gods-macaroni and cheese and toast

Hope for Snow

Sometimes you wish for sun.
Or rain.
Or mist
Or fog.
Or rainbows
Or lightning
Or thunder
Or clouds
Or hail.
And they all come.
Then you wish for snow. You wake up every morning, hoping
Hoping
Hoping in vain.
Because it doesn't come, instead school does, and extra homework. And so you keep hoping
And hoping
And, again, hoping in vain.
Because it doesn't come, instead rain does, and fog and steady drizzles. So you keep hoping.
And hoping.
And this time, it snows. And this time, instead of school, or homework, or rain, fog and drizzels, you get
snow.
And it comes.
It does.
So hope.

Waking Up

Sometimes it feels like you wake up, and you look around you and you see that your life is a lie. People around you are not who you thought they were, they make choices that disappoint you. Make you cry. Make you want to scream. And sometimes you wish you never woke up, then you think of all the times where it was like you were in that groggy, half asleep state and you think you know what is going on, you sense something is not right. You see how you are different than others around you. And you wonder. And then you realize what is going on. But you also realize that you can't say the words out loud, because they are not yours to say. So you wonder. And wonder. And keep wondering. Then that day comes. One that changes your life. And you again, want to cry, want to scream. You want to blame. You want to cause pain. But you can't. You can't. So you do the only thing you can do. Love. And Love. And keep loving.

Our World

What has the world come to, when people (not to name names) can pull a muscle/hurt their arm when playing Wii (intense game!) or playing badminton (who knows)? It is a sad one. Let me tell you.

But you know what’s a happy one??? When you make your first goal in your last game!!! Pretty cool J….It was amazing, no biggie!!

Just The Way You Are

Just The Way You Are Bruno Mars

Oh her eyes, her eyes
Make the stars look like they're not shining
Her hair, her hair
Falls perfectly without her trying

She's so beautiful
And I tell her every day

Yeah I know, I know
When I compliment her
She wont believe me
And its so, its so
Sad to think she don't see what I see

But every time she asks me do I look okay
I say

When I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change
Cause you're amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile,
The whole world stops and stares for awhile
Cause girl you're amazing
Just the way you are

Her nails, her nails
I could kiss them all day if she'd let me
Her laugh, her laugh
She hates but I think its so sexy

She's so beautiful

And I tell her every day

Oh you know, you know, you know
Id never ask you to change
If perfect is what you're searching for
Then just stay the same

So don't even bother asking
If you look okay
You know I say

When I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change
Cause you're amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile,
The whole world stops and stares for awhile
Cause girl you're amazing
Just the way you are

The way you are
The way you are
Girl you're amazing
Just the way you are

When I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change
Cause you're amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile,
The whole world stops and stares for awhile
Cause girl you're amazing
Just the way you are

Last Soccer Game!!

Its an hour past. Crowds gone. Players at parties, celebrating. Coaches napping. Opponents recuperating. Reporters selling the story. Me? I stand. Smelling of sweat. Of pain, of effort, of determination. My one place to get away. My one place to forget the pain, the hurt, the falling short. The one place to be myself. To not worry, because I know it's the one place where when the grasses gets bent, they can straighten again, where even if the ball is kicked out of bounds, someone will always throw it back in, and where I know, for a fact, that it is just a game. That no matter what happens, everything can be repaired, promises kept, and castles rebuilt. My soccer field is my home.

Ready to pone this game??

Lets get pumped!!

OMG (oh my gosh, not the other one....)

I have been told i don't high-five hard enough

That i did great

That i really am special

I must be having a hard day

It doesn't matter

Thanks

Good job

I messed up

I look pretty

Its nothing special

Duh

But honestly, what do they know?

Maybe, its not what they say, but what we hear

A Message-for people who need it

THIS IS A MESSAGE TO THE PEOPLE WHO RUN SCHOOLS: who fired my personal hw doer?? i have so much...its not even funny!! And it is only the 2nd month of school! NOT COOL!! Don't say its my fault......procrastinating or something........the teaches just think it it really cool, and funny i guess, to give loads!! NOT COOL!! don't you realize we have lives too? as do the teachers-who have to grade the many tons of the stuff they have to assign! NOT COOL!! i also don't think you realize how we need, operative word being need, extra curricular activites-not the ones after school, i mean, that just makes us have less time to finish the loads of hw we have to do-i mean the ones that take place, for example, during dragon time, or lunch, or "recess". but do we, as middle and high schools have any of those?? let me tell you loud and clear: NO! so, NOT COOL!!

i, and i speak for many of my peers as well, hope you realize that sometimes, it is NOT COOL! sometimes it gets too much. and sometimes it gets too intense. so, here, let me tell you another thing, just another friendly suggestion, lighten up. don't you want us to have great memories of school? so we can have a positive influence on our kids and friends, who will, overall, be the leaders of this world?? because what this comes down too-is not how smart we will become, but how we will this affect the future?? we do not want a controlling, precise, and number-addicted future. yes we want a controlled (which, let me tell you, is different from controlling), a smart generation. i know this is true. i know it. we want to be able to make mistakes, we want to be able to learn from them, and we want to have the best future possible. i mean, do we really want a dystopia?? but is there a way for this not to happen?? sometimes, we have to have fun. we have to do what we want. Sometimes, what we think is best, is really different from what is. So i ask you, is this it??

"We have to be the change we want to see in the world." -Mahatma Gandhi.
